My last post has made me realize that my wishlist item for the end of Obi Wan Kenobi the series is for Reva to survive, decide to go rogue, and take on the pseudonym “Mara Jade”.
The fanboy rage would be so amazingly sweet.

You are correct! In Legends, Mara is actually a year younger than Luke or Leia. In another post, I’d talked about the fact that it never made much sense to me. Mara being 18 in ANH and 23 in ROTJ doesn’t give her much time for any kind of substantial career as an Emperor’s Hand.
I’ve always felt that Mara being younger than Luke was one of those genre convention things where the heroine MUST be younger than the hero, even if it makes for a really strained timeline.
Reva, on the other hand, has a backstory that would make perfect sense for Mara. She looked about ten in the flashback, which would make her 19-20 in Kenobi (the actress is older, but that’s common in Star Wars), 29 in ANH, and 33 in ROTJ. That makes much more sense to me, timeline wise, and allows for a much more substantial career. (And it’s not any different from the age difference between Han and Leia.)
Obviously, Reva’s story won’t be the same as Mara’s. But we have some nice beats that could be explored in a post-ROTJ environment. She’d have less of a grudge against Luke himself, but there’s still some baggage there that could allow for interesting tension.
And as you’ve said, it would make certain fanboys froth at the mouth, and that would be simply delightful!
